Covenant House Vancouver

Today was one of those days when I am reminded of why I work at Covenant House. I was opening the mail and we had received a letter and donation from a grandmother of a youth we are working with; it was simple and very touching.

Here is a revised version to protect confidentiality: "I appreciate all your work and efforts. My beautiful grandchild has been in your ROP program for several months. Your help has saved her/him when our family could not. Thank you."

What a wonderful thing to hear. When I read letters like that it reconfirms what we are doing and it helps to remind me that our work is making a difference and our help is appreciated. I feel blessed to do the work I do.
