Covenant House Vancouver

This holiday season, Covenant House will be distributing over 300 new backpacks filled with brand-new gifts to the young people who are served by our CSS drop-in Centre at their annual Christmas Party. We are currently in great need of donations of the following (new) items to fill them:

Socks Boxer Short Mens Womens Underwear Socks Gloves & toques Running Shoes-Ladies7-9 Men 10-13 Bras sizes 34 and up Winter jackets men and women Jeans women size 8 and up Hair Barrettes

Hair combs & Brushes Hair bands Chocolate bars/candy Gift certificates from: -Tim Horton's -McDonald's -Blenz -Starbucks -Movie Passes Jeans men size 34 and up Backpacks Small Fleece Blankets

Donations can be dropped off at 575 Drake Street. In order for donations to be included in the backpacks, they must be received by Wednesday, December 16th. Our front desk is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can take donations anytime. However, should you need help unloading donations from your car, you may drive around to the back of the building and enter the parkade during the following times, when a staff person will be there to assist you:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9:00am-8:30pm
Thursday, Friday 9:00am-4:30pm
Saturday 9:00am-5:00pm

Homeless young people feel particularly isolated during the holiday season. At our CSS drop-in centre, we meet some of the most street-entrenched young people in Vancouver who have no family support. Your gift of new items to fill our Christmas backpacks will help us bring some much-deserved holiday cheer into their lives.
