Youth Comic Conclusion

Last week I posted the sixth of eight pages from a young person's comic strip that depicts her experience in the pyschiatric ward faced with mental health and addictions issues.  It a startlingly powerful piece and we applaud her courage for creating it and for allowing us to share it with our readers.  I would like to thank Nicole for her courage, insight and wisdom.  We have had great feedback on this comic, both the writing and illustration have moved people.

This indeed is a wonderful

This indeed is a wonderful blog which points out the harmful effects of substance abuse. Here the story of a girl who ends up in a psychiatric ward is beautifully presented through pictures. She tries her level best to escape from her cell. But finally she realizes her that it is her fate. In the end she gets a chance to taste real freedom. I have the feeling that too much freedom is not good for youth. If you allow them to do as they please I am sure they will end up in a psychiatric ward like our poor girl.
