Seeing life through someone else’s eyes – this is what students from Simon Fraser University’s Student Marketing Association will be doing on Saturday March 12th.  They have pledged to spend a day living on the street without many of the things we take for granted, including: food, drink, a roof over our head and the vast array of electronics that are part of our daily life. With only a pillow and blanket in hand, students will, for one day, have “No Home”.

Established in 2009, No Home is a two month long charity awareness campaign organized by a group of SFU students in collaboration with Covenant House Vancouver. Their intent is to raise awareness of youth homelessness in Vancouver and to inspire other youth to get involved in helping the homeless.

The main event of the campaign will be held at the Vancouver Art Gallery starting at 9:00 am on March 12th for 24 hours.  No food or drinks are allowed; participants will be permitted to eat only what’s donated to them.  All funds raised will go towards Covenant House Vancouver.

To learn more about this event please feel free to visit No Home’s website and Facebook page.
