What is Legacy Giving?

It is a way for you to leave a legacy to a cause that is dear to your heart. Leaving a legacy to Covenant House Vancouver means making a lasting difference in the lives of nearly 2000 young people each year. Some people find it hard to discuss legacy gifts for it means facing our mortality. But planning gives you control over your personal and financial affairs both while you are alive and after. Current gifts provide now for the day to day needs of the kids who come to Covenant House Vancouver, but legacy giving gives you the opportunity to provide for the day to day needs of the kids of the future.

Once you have provided for your loved ones please consider providing for our kids through a gift in your will or another type of legacy gift to Covenant House Vancouver.

With most Legacy Giving vehicles there are tax savings either in your lifetime or for your estate. It is up to you and your advisors to choose the right vehicle to fit your personal financial circumstances. We can assist you in deciding which option is best for you.
