Covenant House Vancouver

Cecilia Ensemble Women's Choir returns January 16th to Holy Rosary Cathedral with a benefit concert for Covenant House Vancouver. Last year's concert/fundraiser was much enjoyed by both choir and audience. This year's concert promises more delights!

Cecilia Ensemble and conductor Lars Kaario will be joined again by the Cathedral's highly regarded organist, Denis Bédard. Cecilia's program will include a variety of choral music from medieval to contemporary, including Hildegard von Bingen, Josef Rheinberger, Johannes Brahms and Eleanor Daley. Hilary Crowther and Denis Bédard perform one of Antonio Vivaldi's beautiful cantatas for solo voice and organ. And guest choir Laudate Singers will offer their gorgeous sounds through early works by Giovanni Gabrieli, William Byrd, Tomás Luis de Victoria, and a new commission of O magnum mysterium by Vancouver composer Bruce Sled.
