Share your home with Olympic visitors-for a good cause
Do you have a spare room or suite to share with visitors during the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games? Home For The Games is a web-based system that matches Games visitors to Vancouver hosts for home stays, with part of the fee supporting organizations fighting homelessness.
The new non-profit is using the energy of the Games to foster friendship and generosity through a cultural exchange and shared experience, while raising funds to support a good cause.
There's no cost to book or register a room with Home For The Games. You set your own rates, keep 50% of the rental revenue and receive a tax receipt for the other half going to the charities - Steetohome Foundation and Covenant House Vancouver.
It's a great way to share the spirit of the Games with new friends from around the world, while also helping our city's most vulnerable people.
