Eligibility/Program Expectations
Developing life skills for independent living is an important part of the ROP Program. As a condition of acceptance and continued participation in the ROP Program, young people are expected:
- to maintain consistent approved employment.
- to attend and participate in weekly meetings with a residential advisor
- to continue following a substance misuse plan as recommended by the counsellor who completed their drug and alcohol assessment
- to actively attend an education program aimed at completing GED or Grade 12 education.
- to develop and participate in an individualized life-skills plan, and
- to pay a $300.00/ month program fee
- to refrain from bringing alcohol, drugs, or weapons into the building
- to have obtained and maintained employment for at least 1 month
- to attend and participate in weekly meetings with a residential advisor
- to continue following a substance misuse plan
- to have accumulated $500.00 in savings prior to entry
- to pay a $300.00 month Program Fee
- to develop and participate in an individualized life-skills plan
- to actively attend an education program aimed at completing GED or Grade 12 education or an educational program that enhances your future
- to have respectful language and behaviors toward co-residents and others within the program and
- to refrain from bringing alcohol, drugs, or weapons into the building
