Reporter Tackles Youth Homelessness

There was an excellent article today in the Vancouver Sun about youth homelessness and although I generally will read anything to do with homelessness and find it interesting, this article was special.

The article titled “Growing up on streets trumps dysfunctional home life,” was written by Bronwyn McCarter, a grade 11 student at West Vancouver Secondary School. The article it was well written and researched thoroughly but what made it so special was the fact that a youth was highlighting the issue of youth homelessness. I think it’s so great to see youth wanting to help their peers and to take the time to learn about an important issues facing Vancouver.

I encourage you all to read this great piece and I offer my congratulations to Bronwyn Carter on a job well done!
