No Home Campaign Raises Over $7000.00

Saturday was a terrible day weather-wise, wet and rainy, but perhaps a perfect day to learn how tough it can be to live on the streets of Vancouver. The 24 Hour Sleep for the Street day was the main event in the two month long No Home Campaign.

Students from Simon Fraser University’s Student Marketing Association spent a day living on the street without many of the things we take for granted, including: food, drink, a roof over our heads and the vast array of electronics that are part of our daily life. The event was a huge success with over $7000.00 being raised throughout the campaign, media out in full and lots of supporters on hand.

Make sure to check out The Province and Metro Vancouver’s articles about the event and be sure to read the participants blog about the experience.

We want to send a huge thanks out to the SFU Student Marketing Association for the great job they did both raising awareness and donations.

We hope you are all warm, dry and fed. Thank you!
