A Night To Remember At The VSO

Recently the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra treated Covenant House Vancouver youth, volunteers and staff to the sounds of Haydn’s Symphony No 101, Mahler’s Symphony No 10, and the Canadian premiere of Adams’ Dr. Atomic Symphony, conducted by world-renowned Maestro Bramwell Tovey.  It was so wonderful to see the youth enjoy the sounds of the symphony in the grandeur of the Orpheum Theatre!

Many of our young people have never listened to this type of music before or been to any musical performance. It was a neat experience for them and a great way for them to learn about new music. It is also a great way to show our youth that you can have fun without the use of drugs or alcohol and it opens a new world up to them. We are honoured that the VSO has given our youth this and other opportunities to broaden their horizons.

Our thanks to the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra!
