We Couldn’t Do It Without Our Volunteers!

This week is National Volunteer Week and 2011’s theme is Volunteers: Passion. Action. Impact. This year’s theme couldn’t ring more true for the volunteers at Covenant House Vancouver.

Our volunteers are a passionate team that tirelessly work to make the lives of street youth better and the day to day running of CHV smoother. They move into action whenever and wherever they are needed from thanking donors; to making sandwiches; to checking in youth at the Drop-In they are always ready and willing to help. The impact our volunteers have on both the youth and staff is immeasurable and we truly couldn’t do it without them.

A huge thank you to all our volunteers!

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
    Margaret Mead

“Everybody can be great because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love.”
