New Bathrooms for our Crisis Shelter

We have officially completed the renovations to the bathrooms of our Crisis Shelter thanks to the generosity of The Home Depot Canada Foundation and the Bellringer Family Foundation! Because of the support of these donors, we were able to carry out these much needed repairs and renovations to the washrooms that serve over 500 youth each year.

The new facilities are much more inviting and can be easily cleaned. Old drywall has been replaced by brand new porcelain tile and old countertops have made way for new nonporous solid surface countertops. We also revised the layout of the washrooms to provide an additional female shower and male toilet to better accommodate the diversity of youth using the shelter. The washrooms are also now environmentally sustainable with new low flow toilets and faucets and high efficiency showerheads, as well as no volatile organic compounds (VOC) paint on the ceilings and toilet partitions.

A big thank you to The Home Depot Canada Foundation and the Bellringer Family Foundation for making this project a reality for our youth!
