Hike for Homelessness – Lawn Bowling

Summer is here, and the Hike for Homelessness Team is pleased to be bringing Lawn Bowling to your neighbourhood on Sunday 28 August. This is our second event – thanks for your support so far. We have raised $4,600 towards our goal of $20,000.

Lawn Bowling (particularly barefoot) is a hot craze amongst the younger crowd in Australia. This month, we bring it North of the Equator to Dunbar Lawn Bowling Club. Come and join us for an evening of style, fun, west coast fayre and bonne humour.

Why? – Because we are raising money for the community
Where?Dunbar Lawn Bowling Club (DLBC) 4326 Dunbar Street, Vancouver
What to wear? This is your opportunity to dress up, but ‘whites’ are not obligatory. No heels, no spikes, no golf shoes, but anything else goes. There will be a prize for the best-dressed team of 4.
When? Sunday August 28th at 5.30pm – 9pm
Who? We invite you to join us because we know that you are a lover of the outdoors and are willing to try something new. (DLBC will provide coaching too!)
WHAT PRICE? $15pp to play. If you wish to join us for a salmon bbq ahead of the lawn bowling tournament, then please come hungry. (pay cash on the night)

All profits will be split between Pivot Legal Society and Covenant House Vancouver.
