Enjoy this heartfelt letter from a supporter

We recently received this wonderful letter from a supporter of ours and I just had to share it with you. In case you are wondering, “Kaylee” is a youth whose story we shared in a recent letter and Sister Nancy is our Pastoral Counselor here at Covenant House Vancouver.

“Dear Sister Nancy & Kaylee,

I would like to thank you personally for all the work that you do, for all the youth you help. I was going to be one of them a few years ago. Since then I have changed and it is so heart whelming to hear the Christmas stories every year that get mailed out. I can’t donate much, I don’t have much myself but I know it is the right decision to write a letter instead.

I would just like to thank you and Covenant House for all your hard work, persistence, open doors and big hearts. I know what it is like for Kaylee not knowing when your next meal will be, who you can trust on the streets and where is safest on Vancouver downtown streets to rest your heavy eyes. It deeply touched me.

I hope that Kaylee will find a good home & a job she loves and the support she needs to be a successful young women. She sounds strong, and I know with your help her and all the youth in your care are in good hands.

Thank you for everything that you do. It makes an impact and a big change.

Sincerely,
C. D.”

Thanks to all of you that phone, write and email your comments to us; positive or negative we are always grateful to hear your thoughts and feedback.
