A Wonderful Gift from the Mischa Weisz Foundation

Covenant House has been fortunate to receive a generous gift from the Mischa Weisz Foundation. Mischa Weisz was the President and CEO of the TNS Smart Network, who sadly passed away on October 2, 2009 of pancreatic cancer. Prior to his passing, he established this foundation which is dedicated to supporting charitable organizations aimed at addressing or supporting disadvantaged children and youth or those suffering from a debilitating health problem or disease.

This gift in Mischa’s memory will go towards our Rights of Passage Program, allowing youth who are in our care to learn the skills that they need for living on their own such as cleaning, cooking, budgeting, and managing relationships with roommates and landlords. By teaching these skills in an environment of love and respect, we ensure that they leave this program ready to live independently in their own homes.

Thank you to the Mischa Weisz Foundation for helping us to find an answer to homelessness, one young person at a time.
