Family Affair Racing Team – Fourth Annual Formula Vee Invitational Race

As you may recall from a blog article earlier this year I introduced you to Pam and Bob Williams who, along with friends Jennifer and her husband Scott, head up Family Affair Racing Team.  The team decided to fundraise for Covenant House through the entire 2013 racing season and I’ve had the pleasure of learning all about their racing world.  I was invited back to Mission Raceway on the BC Day long weekend to join the team for the Fourth Annual Formula Vee Invitational Race.  The Formula Vee class of cars is open wheel single seaters with stock VW parts.

The Family Affair team hosts a big barbecue every BC Day long weekend right in their racing paddock.  This year’s barbecue was a pig roast; I have to admit that it was my first time seeing an entire pig cooked on a rotisserie!  The warm friendly atmosphere made everyone feel right at home and it’s clear how Bob, Pam, Jennifer and Scott are part of a big extended racing family.

Thanks again to the entire Family Affair Racing Team for their hard work fundraising on behalf of Covenant House!
