Tech’s Got Talent raises $50,000 for children’s charities

“On June 24, 600 cheering spectators were treated to a sight not often seen in Vancouver tech circles: their fearless (and fearsome) colleagues decked out in spandex, sequins and satin on stage to showcase their not-so-hidden talents.

Nineteen tech companies and their supporters gathered at Fivesixty Nightclub to lip synch their hearts out and raise funds for children’s charities close to their hearts.

The result was Tech’s Got Talent — an evening of musical marvel hosted by Plenty of Fish and Chimp, involving costumes, choreography and general on-stage shenanigans, the likes of which were described as both epic and hilariously awesome.

Thanks to the generosity of all the participants and supporters, Tech’s Got Talent raised $50,000 for children’s charities!” – Lisa Manfield, Chimp

We want to send a huge thank you to ACL & Borden Ladner Gervais who combined raised $6,714.37 for Covenant House Vancouver and our young people! Thank you!
