Chip Up for Charity raises $9,474.16 for Covenant House & North Shore Rescue!

For the past three years Chip Up for Charity has been recycling Christmas trees in support of Covenant House Vancouver and North Shore Rescue. The first year $865.66 was raised and 70 trees were chipped, the second year $5056 was raised and 70 trees were chipped. This year $9,474.16 was donated and 708 Christmas trees were chipped and recycled!

Here are some fun event numbers:

$15,395 raised in total
1161 trees chipped
The event has grown 913% since the first year

Special thanks go out to event organizer Brendan Uren,  Alex from VanCity who handled the donations, Mairi from the District of North Vancouver, Doug and the Pacific West Tree Services team for volunteering their services, event sponsors Mr. Lube and Bean Around the World.
