The street is no where to sleep
Elements weep
Trucks sweep
People creep
The street is no where to sleep
Head is cold and there’s wet on my feet
Hope and love, please keep me upbeat
Sore to the bone, I hear people speak
Morning’s here, from my bag I leap
This humble memory I will forever keep
Because changing lives is no small feat
The street is no where to sleep.
