Anti – Human Trafficking Coordinator

Covenant House Vancouver is the premier provider of residential and support services for our city’s homeless youth, and we are growing! You will be joining a team of dedicated and committed people whose mission is to help at-risk young people move off the streets and on to independence.

The Human Trafficking Coordinator will lead efforts to coordinate and implement the work of Covenant House Vancouver’s Anti Human Trafficking and Exploitation programming. This position will engage and serve youth that are identified as being, or at risk of being, exploited or trafficked. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Anti Human Trafficking and Exploitation Programming
  • Create and maintain policies and procedures
  • Design and facilitate trainings for internal and external audiences
  • Advocacy and awareness work
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders
  • Act as a consultant for teams on all matters relating to Human Trafficking and Exploitation
  • Accurately collect and enter data into a database and create reports
  • Carry a caseload of survivors as needed
  • Actively participate as part of a multi-disciplinary professional team


  • Master of Social Work, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 2 -5 years working in a position related to Human Trafficking and Exploitation


  • Verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated initiative, critical thinking, and a self-directed working style
  • Knowledge of Trauma Informed care, and the needs of this specialized population of youth
  • Knowledge of adolescent development and issues related to homeless youth
  • Knowledge of Resiliency Theory and Stages of Change models of practice
  • Specialized knowledge of issues related to Human Trafficking and Exploitation
  • Demonstrated facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop polices & procedures, program manuals, and practice guides
  • Proven ability to work with MS software and databases.
