Covenant House Vancouver is the premier provider of residential and support services for our city’s homeless youth, and we are growing! You will be joining a team of dedicated and committed people whose mission is to help at-risk young people move off the streets and on to independence.

Job Overview

The Recruiter partners with hiring managers to anticipate and meet the recruiting needs of the agency. This role provides end-to-end recruiting support and is responsible to engage and recruit top talent to fill vacancies and new positions.   

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Execute Talent Acquisition strategies and plans. 
  • Provide full cycle recruitingsupport to managers. 
  • Post vacancies, pre-screen resumes, and coordinate and participate in interviews.
  • Conductreference checks.  
  • Participate in the selection process, if requested by hiring manager.
  • Provide a consistent candidate experience, with good communication and professional interactions.
  • Make changes in HRIS and complete paperwork for new hirespromotions,and   
  • Prospect applicants that will create a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Create and maintain interview question banks
  • Administer testingand other pre-employment  
  • Create comprehensive offer letter packages and communicate with successful
  • Maintain agency LinkedIn page.
  • Build applicant pipelinesby researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, social media, and online job boards. 
  • Maintain up to date job postings.
  • Oversee recruitingtracking. 
  • Assist with recruitingrelated  

 

Qualifications 

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources 
  • 2 years experience in a similar role

 

Skills 

  • Planning and organizational skill
  • Interpersonal and relationship management skills at all levels. 
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience in full cycle recruiting.
  • Knowledge of HR/Recruiting best practices. 
  • Skill in using an HRIS and Microsoft Office

Please Note: Due to the pandemic, this position is currently working from home. Post-pandemic, the schedule will be a mix of working from home and on-site
