About Covenant House

Since 1997, Covenant House Vancouver has provided essential and relentless support for youth experiencing, or at-risk of experiencing, homelessness. We provide support to youth ages 16 to 24 who have experienced a wide range of early life and ongoing, complex trauma including physical, sexual, emotional abuse, and neglect. Our purpose is to serve all youth with absolute respect and unconditional love, to help youth experiencing homelessness, and provide a safe and supportive environment for all youth in need.

The Impact the Manager, Marketing with our Communications and Marketing Team can make:

As the Marketing Manager you will be responsible for planning, developing, and leading marketing campaigns, projects, and promotions through an integrated communications strategy to support Covenant House Vancouver’s mission. Using traditional and digital marketing strategies, you will play a critical role in online fundraising growth, traditional and digital marketing leadership, and multichannel fundraising. You will also play an integral part in achieving other strategic objectives for the Communications and Philanthropy teams.

This position will also manage our graphic designer and communications and marketing coordinator roles.

How you will contribute:

  • Provide strategic planning and execution of digital and traditional multi-channel integrated marketing campaigns, projects, and promotions
  • Lead digital and traditional marketing campaigns that help the Communications and Philanthropy departments achieve strategic goals, especially online fundraising, awareness building and event recruitment.
  • Support digital marketing campaigns for internal CHV accounts, with a strong emphasis on paid social, web, and email marketing
  • Oversee creative development, production and implementation of marketing touchpoints and communication assets
  • Manage annual marketing budget
  • Manage and build relationships with media representatives from various outlets
  • Produce copy and coordinate creative assets for marketing touchpoints
  • Create concise marketing, creative and media briefs, providing key marketing data for reporting
  • Lead the Communications and Marketing team’s development and implementation of CRM reporting, and creation of digital marketing strategies and programs to achieve organizational goals
  • Build strong relationships between brands and cross-functional teams by ensuring brand consistency/integration across all communications channels and departments
  • Work closely with Director on online fundraising strategy for acquisition and nurture streams and identify growth targets and acquisition strategy for CHV’s social channels
  • Provide optimization, experimentation, and SEO strategy for CHV
  • Analyze and evaluate digital and traditional marketing campaigns, Projects, and promotions against objectives to better understand donor behaviour
  • Capture and leverage customer lifecycle information for targeted digital marketing campaigns

Who are we looking for?

Education and Experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role. Management experience considered an asset
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Business, Marketing, or e-commerce.
  • Knowledgeable in paid social, email marketing and traditional media advertising buys, including working with media sales reps and some search experience

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven track record in creating and executing successful multichannel marketing programs that meet/exceed established targets.
  • A subject matter expert in digital and or e-commerce with a strong understanding of marketing programs including content marketing, social media, email marketing, display, and search.
  • Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge and Luminate Online, WordPress
  • Exceptional analytic and quantitative skills. Experience working with digital analytical tools such as Google Analytics
  • Strong oral communication as well as outstanding writing, content development, and editing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment in a collaborative manner.
  • Energetic, self-motivated and results oriented.
  • Knowledgeable in Project management best practices for content creation.

The starting range for this position is $64,500.80 – $80,626.00 annually
