The North Vancouver School District is excited to support Covenant House with its Sleep Out initiatives. This program helps homeless youth in a variety of ways including increasing awareness and raising critical funds for programs offered at Covenant House Vancouver. Sleep Out gives students a glimpse into the reality of those without a home. Participants sleep outside on cardboard boxes for one night.
As a team, the North Vancouver School District is going to spend a night in solidarity with homeless youth. Superintendent Mark Pearmain will be sleeping outside downtown for one night in February, and secondary schools are encouraged to host their own Sleep Out: Student Edition events at their schools. For every $4,000 we raise, we fund one-year of mental health supports for one youth. Let’s support as many young people as possible!
