Self-care routines and trends on social media can make self-care feel overwhelming. But the truth is that self-care doesn’t have to be complicated. Any simple act that you do for yourself can contribute to your physical, mental, and emotional well-being, which will help you manage stress, stay focused, and maintain your overall health.
In July, 28 youth gathered to experience self-care. This low-sensory event had a variety of stations, such as a juice bar, meditation and movement area, fruit kebobs, and a nail salon.
Self-care is one of many important life skills taught at CHV. When practised regularly, it becomes a habit that helps youth self-regulate and work through any obstacles so that they can build the futures that they want for themselves.
When we take care of ourselves, we can also take care of others.
