Our youth learn important finance and money skills

Recently a facilitator from Family Services of Greater Vancouver came to teach a Money Skills workshop for our youth. Young people from all our different programs came to learn crucial financial information.

Some of the topics the workshop covered included understanding the purpose of those annoying deductions off of your paycheque and better understanding the benefit of working for a reputable company rather than working under the table. Our youth also learned the importance of saving money and they discussed tips on how to make saving a priority, even with a limited income.

The facilitator will be coming back soon to present about identity theft, budgeting, and credit. It should be another great workshop!
