A young lady works on her leadership skills by planning an outing to the zoo

Last Friday I had the privilege of taking Rights of Passage (ROP) youth to the Greater Vancouver Zoo in Aldergrove. One of the youth in ROP loves animals and she is also always interested in improving her leadership skills. She was able to combine these two passions by organizing the trip. She planned out all the details including figuring out what time we should leave, finding out directions of how to get to the zoo and researching the price of admission. She even created beautiful posters to advertise for the outing.

The rain held off the whole time we were at the zoo and because of the cool weather, we were able to see most of the animals up close. The outing was a great success!
