Let’s bridge the gap between Canadians’ charitable actions and government support…

Covenant House Vancouver is happy to join other charities from across the nation in raising awareness for the Canada Cares Campaign. The campaign itself started with the simple idea of ensuring Canadian charities can continue to support the community beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.

It’s purpose is to advocate for the federal government to implement a 1:1 donation matching program. This would double the impact made by ordinary Canadians to the charities they support.

Such a matching program would be a strong source of support for Covenant House. It would allow us to continue providing essential services like our Crisis Program and Outreach Services for young people in need.

So along with other charities across Canada, we’re asking Canadians to make their voices heard about the Canada Cares campaign. We hope that elected officials hear us and consider implementing more support for charities from coast to coast.
