The Mid-Autumn Festival (aka Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival) is a harvest festival celebrated in Chinese culture. It is held on the night of a full moon anywhere from mid-September to early October.
At Covenant House Vancouver, the Mid-Autumn Festival was held on September 17th. Volunteers adorned the dining area with decorative lanterns, and youth partook in assorted mooncakes with lotus paste, red beans, and mixed nuts, for blessings of prosperity and good fortune.
