Advocacy for Change

At CHV, our vision is to end youth homelessness. To achieve this vision, it requires a systemic change to prevent the issue from occurring.

We advocate:

To overcome systemic barriers to health care, mental health services, treatments, and housing.
For changes to policies to the child welfare system and the criminal justice system that affect children and youth.
At schools and community organizations, to raise awareness about the factors that lead to youth homelessness and about the role that CHV plays in addressing this challenge.

We nurture partnerships with aligned organizations and individuals and with decision makers in all levels of government. By shaping policy, we will be able to ensure vulnerable youth have the housing, supports, and education they require to both heal and build a foundation for independence.
