Peer Support Work
Peer Support Workers are recent additions to our frontline team. They are individuals with lived experience who serve as role models demonstrating that recovery is possible. They have specialized training and work alongside our Youth Workers with a shared goal of supporting youth as they access our services.
This position:
- Bridge the gaps between youth and staff, by either making those connections themselves or by supporting youth as they connect to staff
- Have been faced with the same, or similar, experiences as the youth we serve, and therefore can provide a unique perspective
- Help ask the right questions and get to the root of the youth’s actions or issues
- Support youth on whatever they are working on
