Foundations

Foundations

This seven-bed, support and recovery housing program is for youth (age 16–24) who have identified that they want to work on their substance use as the primary goal.

We provide a safe and non-judgmental environment where youth can identify and meet individual goals, in relation to safer substance use.

We support youth to address every aspect of their well-being. This support decreases the risk of overdose by increasing a youth’s knowledge and awareness of harm reduction practices.

The core principle of Foundations is that youth have the autonomy to define their goals. Youth do not need to commit to refraining from use while in the program.

This program is supported through an active partnership with Vancouver Coastal Health, where the management of intakes, screening, discharges, and case reviews is a shared responsibility.
