Winter Shelter
Winter Shelter
The Winter Shelter program is available to youth, age 19–24, and is open every evening from 10:00PM–8:30AM, from November 15, 2025 – March 31, 2026.
12 beds are available to youth to mitigate the harsh winter weather, provided in partnership with BC Housing.
The beds are located at the Drop-In Centre which means youth who attend also have access to dedicated staff and wraparound supports, like a hot shower, food, and clean clothing. In the morning, youth are welcome to access the Drop-In Centre, where they can meet with social workers and counsellors, be connected to a range of social services, receive employment support, and even participate in recreational activities offered by CHV.

Our mission is to provide a safe haven for young people, and during the cold, wet winter months, they urgently need shelter and warmth. It is critical that the specific and unique needs of youth experiencing homeless are met. By partnering with BC Housing, Covenant House Vancouver is part of delivering on those needs and providing shelter and access to care, resources, and support for more young people in our community.” Deb Lester, CEO, Covenant House Vancouver
