Recently the Vancouver Aquarium’s AquaVan visited Covenant House Vancouver for a girls night event. The AquaVan Educators shared interesting information featuring live animals and fun facts.
Our girls loved the sea creatures, which were a sea anemone, sea star and sea urchins. The youth were really engaged and loved the ocean facts, particularly learning sea otter facts and the facts about blue whale (you can drive a car through their heart valves!).
The girls participated in a trivia game, which was a lot of fun, and the winning team got some prizes as well as some little straw purses from Vancouver Aquarium that they generously brought with them.
