Thanking Joseph Richard Group for Sleeping Out in support of homeless youth!

On November 5th staff, friends and family of the Joseph Richard Group spent one night sleeping on the streets in support of homeless youth.

Their CEO, Ryan Moreno shared a few thoughts from the night:

“I’m writing this as I lay here at 1:56am. As I look around at the almost 200 sleeping bags and tarps littered around this parking lot, the magnitude of what we have all done is starting to set in.

My hope is that every year, at every JRG Sleep Out, we inspire others to join us, we raise more awareness of this reality I’m convinced can absolutely be fixed and together, those of us out here tonight and those of us in a warm bed at the moment, stop to think and feel just a little different about those less fortunate. Not just the homeless in our society but, any and all the less fortunate in our world. If we’re able to achieve that, perhaps starting tonight, with people and communities like we’ve seen here today, well I think that the world would be just that much better….”

Covenant House Vancouver extends it’s heartfelt thanks to the Joseph Richard Group for their incredible support of young people and Sleep Out. Thank you!
