Saying goodbye to winter with an afternoon of ice skating

On the last day of ice skating for the season, we took some youth from our Drop-In Centre to Robson Square to try their hand at skating. One of the youth was really good at ice skating and was twirling and speeding around the rink. This youth also helped both staff and youth to be better at skating, and helped people get their boots on properly.

Another youth was a little rusty to start and was using the bar to skate around but by the end of the session was skating unaided. Afterwards we enjoyed a hot chocolate and a selfie or two. It was a great afternoon and good send off to the winter! – Shared by Lauren, Youth Outreach Worker
