On the weekends at our Crisis Program, we always do our best to engage the youth in fun activities. This past weekend, we decided to challenge the youth to see who could build the tallest tower with specific supplies.
The supplies included 10 wooden skewers, 20 marshmallows, 60cm of masking tape, 1 sheet of 8.5×11 paper, and another 10 different, thicker skewers.
We had 6 youth compete while some of the other youth volunteered to keep track of time and cheer the competitors on. It was fun and creative activity and the tallest tower builders won a gift card.
