Thank you Nicola Wealth for supporting Sleep Out: Executive Edition!

Giving back is deeply rooted in the culture at Vancouver-based wealth management firm Nicola Wealth. For the second consecutive year they have come alongside Covenant House Vancouver to support Sleep Out: Executive Edition with a donation of $50,000.

This incredible gift will not only have a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of homeless youth, but it will provide necessary counseling programs, as well as shelter, clothing and food to some of our cities most vulnerable.

“We believe in giving back to our community and that the best way to build a strong community is to support and safeguard the next generation,” said John Nicola, Chairman and CEO of Nicola Wealth. “We actively work to engage our staff, as well as support them, in giving back to their communities. Not only is the Covenant House Sleep Out life changing for so many youth in our city, but it allows our staff to get excited about being a part of impactful change.”

Over the years many members of Nicola Wealth have participated in Sleep Outs, with members of their leadership team participating in the upcoming Executive Edition. They will also have staff volunteering to help out the night before and will be a welcoming face providing hot coffee and pastries to participants the morning after the event.

“Participating in the sleep out was eye opening,” said Murray Nelson, Business Development at Nicola Wealth. “Not only did I get to experience a little bit of what homeless youth go through, but it allowed me to understand the importance of programs like the ones Covenant House provides and see just how imperative it is to have the love and support of someone out there.”

Support from Nicola Wealth and all Sleep Out participants goes beyond financial backing; we work closely with generous partners like Nicola Wealth to ensure the Sleep Out: Executive Edition is impactful in our fundraising efforts. It is because of these partnerships that we are able to continue providing hope and care to Vancouver’s homeless and at-risk youth.

On November 21st business leaders will use their influence to raise awareness and critical funds for vulnerable young people during our Sleep Out: Executive Edition.  You can help by making a donation to support a Sleep Out participant.
