Sharing something positive this Monday: 11 year old Zac gives back in a big way!

Zachary Weinberg is an eleven year old and in the sixth grade at Collingwood School. He is an active member of the WE Organization’s Youth Advisory Committee (“YAC”).

Zac had a big idea with a big goal. He set out to help the 2,200 people experiencing homelessness  in Vancouver.

He created “ZacPacs” which include toques, gloves, socks, reusable water bottles, emergency blankets, granola bars, collapsable umbrellas, rain ponchos, heat packs for hands/feet, toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo, and more.

Zac believes, “that shelter is not a privilege, rather, it is a basic human right. The  least  we  can  do  is  help  them  keep  warm  and dry,  and  let  them  know  we  care.”

Recently we met up with Zac and he donated 150 Zacpacs to Covenant House Vancouver. Thank you Zac for your passion and all you are doing to help those experiencing homelessness in our community!
