Our Outreach Team Safely Serving Meals!

Earlier this week, we shared with you that our Drop-In Centre had to close to protect the health and safety of our youth, staff, and greater community. We also shared that youth would still be able to receive the services they normally would in our Drop-In Centre, just in different ways.

Today, we’d like to show some images of our Outreach Team creatively finding new ways to meet the needs of youth (serving meals, providing clothing, etc.) while still respecting social distancing.

Some amazing Outreach Workers preparing to serve take-out meals.

If you look to the far left of the image, you can see a “Wait Here” sign. Youth can approach a 6-foot long table and have their food safely slid to them. If a young person needs clothing or hygiene supplies, our team runs up to our clothing room and delivers it to them in the same way. One staff member joked that they would all be amazing at bowling when this health emergency ends!

At this time, we want to send a huge “thank you!” to our Outreach team and all our front-line workers for always finding a way to provide youth with care and comfort.
