Global crisis or not, we’ve always had incredible donors. Recently we experienced something unique – KidzFirst Canada, a small, grassroots non-profit, stepped forward with a donation to support food security and art therapy in our Crisis Program during the pandemic.
KidzFirst Canada is an after-school program that helps vulnerable youth overcome barriers through the arts, healthy living activities, and community enrichment projects. Even as a non-profit, they were determined to provide financial assistance to organizations taking care of young people during this difficult period.
These are challenging and uncertain times for everyone around the world, and yet the outpouring of support for Covenant House youth – often from unexpected sources – has been humbling.
