Youth Homelessness: Mental Health and Substance Use Patterns During COVID-19

The Canadian Observatory on Homelessness (COH) is the largest national research institute devoted to homelessness in Canada. The COH is the steward of the Homeless Hub, which is a web-based research library and information centre.

The Homeless Hub provides a wealth of information, studies and education opportunities for communities, educators and professionals. Recently they shared the article: Youth Homelessness: Mental Health and Substance Use Patterns During COVID-19.

Their team of researchers, knowledge users, and collaborators including members with lived expertise set out to understand three key areas:

  • pandemic impacts on mental health and substance use patterns;
  • front-line practice adaptations; and
  • promising and transformation approaches.
