Trevor Snider: Commemorating a Reconciliation Ally

In the morning, before most people arrive, Trevor is already hard at work. Trevor was the Supervisor of Donations Processing. Trevor had a very important job at CHV. He and his team were responsible for processing all of the gifts that CHV receives from our generous donors, as well as issuing all of the receipts, in a timely manner.

You didn’t have to look up from your screen to know that Trevor was there. His joyful laughter filled the office. He had a challenging job and he kept his team pumped up and positive with his light-hearted approach — which worked. His team always seemed happy and engaged.

Trevor joined CHV five years ago. He started in Donations Processing with no prior experience. This did not stop Trevor from quickly excelling at his job. He immersed himself in webinars, gleaned information from the CRA, and embraced his role with passion.

That’s how Trevor approached everything. Shortly after joining CHV, Trevor enrolled in CHV’s Transformative Leadership Academy. At the end of the training, Trevor was presented with a project on truth and reconciliation. Through diligent research, Trevor discovered, and learned about, Indigenous Corporate Training Inc.

Trevor became very passionate about truth and reconciliation and developed a relationship with Indigenous Corporate Training Inc. that spanned most of Trevor’s time at CHV.

Trevor’s unexpected passing was devastating for everyone at CHV. But many people learned something about Trevor that day — they learned about Trevor’s passion and about his relationship with Indigenous Corporate Training Inc.

Trevor had made such an impression on this organization that when they learned of his passing, they created a fundraising page, so that his important work could continue.

Right now, if you donate to his commemorative page, your donation will be matched by Indigenous Corporate Training Inc., up to $10,000!

When hearing about the match, a coworker, who was close to Trevor, said, “He would be so excited to know that a gift of this magnitude would come in, in his honour, from Indigenous Corporate Training Inc.”

Thank you to Indigenous Corporate Training Inc. for your incredible support.

Please donate and help CHV continue Trevor’s important work.
