Celebrating National Volunteer Week: Thank You Therapy Dogs

Thank you to our phenomenal therapy dogs!

Every week this year, youth at Covenant House Vancouver have been graced by visits from 2 therapy dogs. Kenzie, accompanied by owner David, supports on Saturdays in our Crisis Program. Kenzie is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.

Kona, accompanied by owner Graham, supports us with our Community Support Services Drop-In centre on Tuesday mornings. Kona is a yellow Labrador.

Both dogs and volunteers are available to provide youth with a visit if they wish. Sometimes a nice walk around the neighbourhood is enjoyed by all.

Thank you so much to David and Graham, Kenzie and Kona’s dads, whose time and best (furry) friends have made it possible for youth to experience the benefits of working with therapy dogs on their healing journeys. THANK YOU!!
