Since 2018, Scotiabank has proudly supported Covenant House Vancouver, by removing barriers and increasing access to opportunities for disadvantaged groups, to create a more inclusive and resilient community.
Covenant House Vancouver’s goal is to end youth homelessness. We are doing this by focusing on three key areas:
- Preventing homelessness before it happens.
- Intervening when a young person is in crisis.
- Restoring a youth’s sense of self, to lay the foundation for their future.
Scotiabank’s ScotiaRISE initiative aligns with our goals, as Scotiabank believes that investing in young people is an investment in the future of our communities.
“When you support the health and well-being of young people, you are supporting the health and well-being of your whole community.” – Jenifer Lee, District Vice President
Matching donations, doubling impact
From October 20 – December 31, Scotiabank and the Steven Chambers Foundation are matching donations, up to $50,000 each, for a total match of $100,000.
Match donors are important because they maximize your fundraising impact. Their commitment says to potential donors: “Your gift will go twice as far.”
Matches are a key part of how we raise funds, to make an impact and further our work to:
- Advocate for youth in need, and reform policy — locally and nationally.
- Provide youth with a high level of care, using research to improve our connection to youth.
- Enhance partnerships, to connect youth to the resources they need.
By supporting Covenant House Vancouver, you are helping support young people in the community with the necessary resources, guidance, and confidence to pursue brighter futures.
We are so grateful to Scotiabank for supporting this campaign and doubling your impact!
“At Scotiabank, we believe that investing in young people is an investment in the long-term security, stability, and growth of our communities. If you’re able, please donate. Everyone can help make a difference as circumstances permit, and a double match means each dollar is worth much more!” Jenifer Lee, District Vice President, Scotiabank
Donate to help a young person, wherever they are on their journey home. Until December 31, your gift will be doubled, up to $100,000!
Thanks to the generosity of Scotiabank and The Steven Chambers Foundation, who are each contributing $50,000, every dollar you give will be matched.
