We accept donations of food, clothing, hygiene supplies and other items that we supply to our young people, free of charge.

Food and Clothing Donations for Homeless Youth

From November 1 2018 until the new year we will only be accepting new items for our Christmas Backpack Campaign. We are blessed to receive a large number of Gift-in-Kind donations and can not keep up with the volume during this time. We encourage you to donate your used clothing and household items to The Wildlife Thrift Store at 1295 Granville Street.

Covenant House is here to give kids a safe place to stay off the streets and to provide them with food and fresh, clean clothes. Due to limited space, we can only take certain non-food items for donation and would ideally like to discuss your donation with you before you drop it off (this will save you a trip if the items you wish to donate are not suitable for youth aged 16 – 24). For a full list of needed items please click here.

Donations of food can be dropped off 24 hours a day at 575 Drake Street location.

Our top needed food items are:

  • Meat Products
  • Dairy Products
  • Fresh Fruits & Vegetables
  • Frozen Foods
  • Canned goods

See below for a list of items we do not accept. For such items, please click here for information on alternate places to donate.

  • Furniture, Beds and Mattresses
