Sir Winston Churchill Secondary Interact Club raises $20,168!

Last year, on December 17th, students from the Sir Winston Churchill Secondary Interact Club braved the cold and wind to Sleep Out virtually — together but apart — in order to support the youth we serve at Covenant House Vancouver!

The SWC Interact Club is a student-led non-profit service club sponsored by the Rotary Club of Vancouver. The club allows students of all grades to come together and make a change in both local and international issues. At the same time, these students gain leadership skills and make new friends along the way.

And make a change they did. In fact, these amazing young people demonstrated unconditional love and care for their peers and raised an incredible $20,168. This is the most any school has ever raised while hosting a Sleep Out: Student Edition! Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, student donors from all over have pulled through and transformed their events into virtual ones like the SWC Interact Club — because even in a time of uncertainty, giving back and supporting fellow youth in their community continues to be a top priority for them.

We just want to take this time to give a big “Thank You!” to the students of Sir Winston Churchill Secondary and to each and every one of our student supporters out there. Everything that you do for your fellow youth in the community makes a life-changing difference. Your unwavering generosity, hard work, and dedication never ceases to amaze us!
