We are excited to share that the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation, in conjunction with Seaspan and the Southern Railway of British Columbia, has donated a multiyear grant of $150,000 to the Rights of Passage program. This generous donation comes at a significant time, as the expansion of the Rights of Passage program is currently underway at our Pender location. With a focus on teaching essential life skills, the enhanced programming will provide youth with the tools and resources they need to achieve success and fulfill their dreams. These goals align with the shared vision of Dennis and Phyllis Washington, who believed they could create positive and lasting impacts through their Foundation.
Dennis and Phyllis have an interest in youth and education, and the Foundation’s vision is based on the believe that “By influencing young people during their formative years and providing opportunity for personal advancement through education, Dennis and Phyllis hope to create a positive and lasting impact on our culture and society.”
Thank you to everyone at the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation, Seaspan, and the Southern Railway of British Columbia for this transformational gift which will directly support the expanding needs of youth in the Rights of Passage program.
