Be a Champion This Winter — Sleep Out!

Dedicated staff at CHV made the severe weather days of the holiday season tolerable for many youth, by rallying together to keep the Drop-In Centre open around the clock, for five days. While temperatures dipped below freezing and the snow came down, 160 young people had a safe and warm place to be, with nutritious food to eat.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. However, winter isn’t over yet.

We would love to see the Drop-In Centre open longer to serve more youth and keep them safe during extreme weather conditions, but this requires resources: staff (youth workers, kitchen staff), food, and sundries (including winter clothes and blankets). Such resources require community support.

There is a way to help make this happen — Sleep Out: Champions Edition is happening February 16th!

You can join as an individual, create a team, join a team, donate to support your friend, or donate to a team. No matter how you participate, your support helps keep programs and services, like the Drop-In Centre, available to youth, during challenging times, like extreme weather.
