A Day of Collaboration with Takeda Canada

September 29th was a special day at Covenant House Vancouver as we had the pleasure of hosting a group of dedicated employees from Takeda Canada for an employee day of service. The spirit of camaraderie and community was truly inspiring as they joined our Volunteer and Gifts-in Kind-teams to assist with inventory sorting and envelope addressing, for our purchase orders.

The day kicked off with a warm welcome and introduction to Covenant House Vancouver, which set the tone for the meaningful work ahead. Deb Lester, our CEO, met and greeted our wonderful guests and joined in for a group photo, capturing the essence of this heartwarming day.

We paused for a break in the afternoon, and took the Takeda team on a building tour, where they saw the impact of their work and generosity. As if the day couldn’t get any better, the afternoon brought us a fantastic surprise—a cheque presentation from Takeda for $4,000 in support of our programs and services. Their generous contribution will undoubtedly make a significant impact on our mission to serve youth in the community.

We wanted to share this heartening experience with you, as it exemplifies the power of collaboration and community support. We are immensely grateful to Takeda Canada for their dedication and generosity. Stay tuned for more updates and stories of teamwork and goodwill right here on our blog and social media channels. Together, we can make a difference! If you or your organization would like to get involved and spend some time volunteering with us, please email us at volunteer@covenanthousebc.org
